Out of all the castles I got to visit in Scotland this was my favorite. Our tour drove us past a lot of castles and even dropped us off at a few but most we were not given enough time to visit properly. This castle they gave us plenty of time because its free to visit. Situated near wick in the Highlands of Scotland this was such a beautiful ruin sitting right on a cliffs edge with beautiful views. We even got to see a seal playing in the water surrounding the castle. The best part of this site was that you could walk through it and under it and all around it and explore the place properly there was no red velvet balustrades to keep you on the right path like so many castles you visit in the United Kingdom.
