The St Andrews Cathedral and castle are two of the main attractions in town. Even though you can pay to go into part of the cathedral most of it is ruined and open to the public for free. Sitting right at the edge of town on a small Cliff top it’s quite a nice stroll through the grounds and most of the tour stopped her and found a bit of grass with a view to enjoy lunch. The castle is just a short stroll away from the cathedral and you can take a seaside path to get there. You do have to pay for the castle to get into the grounds which I didn’t do. The castle like the cathedral is a ruin but you can walk down to the seaside from here for free for great views of the castle.
