This was another stop while doing a tour of Rhodes. The Lindos Acropolis is about an hours drive from the main port in Rhodes. The actual Acropolis is tiny and the most interesting thing about the site is the medieval fort built around it. The views from this height, of the island are breathtaking though. They also have donkey rides here to get you up the hill. They are the best looked after donkeys I’ve seen in Greece and if you really want to do a donkey ride I’d suggest doing it here instead of Santorini. The small village surrounding the Acropolis is picturesque and has beautiful patterned pebble walkways. There is also a very ornate but tiny Greek Orthodox church in the village on the way down that’s worth a look too.
