Royal palace Phnom Penh

I have to say this isn’t the most impressive palace I’ve seen in Asia. As we had only one day in Phnom Penh and we had a tour booked to be able to travel to the killing fields and s21 this was included in the package. The dress code is the stranded no shoulders or knees exposed but you can’t cover yourself with a shawl here which I haven’t encountered before. The most impressive part of this complex is the silver pagoda ( of course they don’t let you take pictures inside). It houses and incredible gold and jewelled Buddha statue and the baccarat crystal or “emerald Buddha”. If you in Phnom Penh you may as well have a look.
