Bayon is the temple I wanted to see the most at Angkor world heritage site and I wasn’t disappointed. The face carvings are what this temple is best known for and you are able to get right up close to them. I was even blessed at the shrine right at the top of the temple (although you do have to make a donation). This is definitely one of those places where photographs do not do it justice and really needs to be seen firsthand.
