After falling ill and being hospitalised I missed the chance to travel with the rest of my group out to the Angkor world heritage site. I ended up booking a tour with Intrepid Urban Adventures on my last day in Cambodia to make sure I didn’t miss this amazing site. At a cost of $80 USD the tour wasn’t cheap but included a guide for the day and a tour of the three main temples, Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom where Bayon temple is and Ta Prong ( the jungle temple). This tour definitely ended up being worthwhile. Intrepid has a guaranteed departure policy so even though I ended up being the only person to book I was still collected at 8:00am from my hotel and shown to a town car with my own personal guide and driver. I definitely got my money’s worth as I got to do exactly what I wanted and was able to stand and wait as long as I wanted to be able to get those converted tourist free shots. My guide was extremely knowledgeable and knew all the special spots to get amazing photographs. Have a look through the individual temple post for more info about the tour and each temple.
